In chapter 14 the authors return to the idea of pair programming and collaborative work. This is now a well-traveled theme in this book. Unfortunately, sometimes collaboration is seen a punishment by our students. How is it typically seen by the students you work with or have worked with? How might you use the ideas in this chapter to encourage and promote the benefits of collaboration in your classroom?

The authors also encourage us to hold back from jumping in too soon when students need help, and to spend time standing back and observing. Identify and describe some instances where you could hold back and allow for productive struggle in your classes to the benefit of your students.
